Philip Kersh

Commercial Risk Advisor

Philip was born and raised in Atlanta and has called it home his entire life, aside from four years at Georgia Southern University. He graduated in 2024 and joined BIS shortly thereafter. Philip began his career in insurance by dialing for opportunities and building relationships with business owners throughout the Atlanta area. Six months into his time at BIS, he joined the property and casualty team as a producer. In this role, he advises businesses on managing risk and spends much of his time connecting with business owners who need improvements in their commercial insurance programs.



Outside of work, Philip volunteers as a Young Life leader at a local high school and is passionate about serving his community and helping others. He is motivated by the positive impact he can have on businesses through his work at BIS by guiding them toward effective risk management strategies. This is Philip’s first full-time role, and he would not have it any other way.
