Ray Bachman

President

Ray Bachman is a professional whose distinctive career in insurance began in 1978 where he successfully navigated the competitive insurance sales arena, building a foundation of expertise and market distinction with which to serve his clients.

In 1997, Ray began another chapter in his career when he formed BIS Benefits, Inc., (originally known as Bachman Insurance Services), carving a niche in serving the small to mid-size business market. Ray’s business philosophy has distinguished itself in an era when independent companies are quickly being acquired by large banking conglomerates. Ray and his associates differentiate their company by offering client support that is unparalleled in the industry. To that end, BIS Benefits maintains a fully staffed service group that provides readily accessible resources and most importantly, the often overlooked human touch to answering inquiries and resolving concerns.

Consistently focused on serving others with excellence, Ray has led his team in delivering insurance solutions that turn liabilities into benefits. His responsiveness and desire to provide accessibility to his clients has developed innovative educational and support programs, most notably an on-line human resources center, which brings the total HR world to the fingertips of businesses. These innovations have built a business driven primarily by referrals from satisfied clients.

Ray will tell you that the critical turning point in his life and career came in his junior year at Georgia Tech, when he made his personal commitment to Christ. Having previously only attended worship services for special occasions, Ray began a daily walk with Christ that has been transformational. While consistently leading BIS in a focus on serving others with excellence, Ray has personally invested more than 30 years in Christian service through The Navigators, an international Christian ministry, as well as other well known ministries, with a heart particularly committed to one-on-one mentoring and encouraging young people to allow their faith to guide them through the journey of life. Ray’s philosophy of investing in lives through personal and business commitments was profiled in the well-known industry magazine, Health Insurance Underwriter.

Ray graduated from Georgia Tech, with his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management. He is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, active in the Atlanta Chapter, and is also a member of the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as a Director, and was a part of the Organizing Committee, for Keyworth Bank. He serves on the board of several additional organizations including the North Fulton chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Ray and his wife, Vicki, have been married more than 30 years and have three married children and seven grandchildren to whom he is affectionately known as G-Pa.
